Weaving the next generation human-machine interface – Project Jacquard

Google proves its innovation strengths once again by introducing a conductive thread which can be used to interact and connect to our electronic devices. Imagine if we could swipe our pockets to make a call? .. Or tap the shoulders to take a photo?.. The applications are just limitless. The best part is the yarn is a standard industrial yarn and thus making it more mainstream.

We have always loved watching Cristiano on field and gone nuts seeing his skills. This video (though it is quite long) is astounding as you can experience how sports science can help athletes to grow in their field and also drop your jaw seeing the ultimate skills of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Tesla’s new Power wall system!! – Clean and safe energy systems for the future

True visionary Elon Musk yet again proves that solar can be highly efficient. With the introduction of new Power wall system which is a home battery that charges using electricity generated from solar panels, or when utility rates are low, and powers your home in the evening. It also fortifies your home against power outages by providing a backup electricity supply. An elegant design by Tesla, Powerwall offers independence from the utility grid and the security of an emergency backup.

A must watch video which equalizes Steve Jobs’ presentation for Apple.

From Ultra dry materials to a Car that never gets dirty!

Check out this super ultra dry coating which is extremely hydrophobic. Its water resistant property is just amazing.Water-based liquids roll right off a surface on contact and leave materials clean and dry. Though the coating application can be very expensive right now, commercialization of this would be a breakthrough.

Nissan has demonstrated a similar coating in Automobiles. This is just so cool, a car that never needs cleaning. Future of automobiles really has some amazing technologies waiting for us.

A rare picture from beginning of time!! – Priceless

Ever wondered how our universe looked 13 billion years (between 400 and 800 million years after the Big Bang) ago!! Hubble Ultra Deep Field (HUDF), an image taken by the most advanced human made telescope will take you through this experience.

Astronomers using NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope have assembled a comprehensive picture of the evolving universe – among the most colorful deep space images ever captured by the 24-year-old telescope.

This is how our universe looked in the beginning with millions of galaxies and billions of stars, all closely knit in the ever expanding universe.

What is more interesting is how this image was captured, light from distant space which was travelling for 13 billion years have been captured and assembled by Hubble Space telescope. Hats off to human mind to engineer such a telescope.

A must watch video to understand this intriguing phenomena:

Flight with zero fuel burnt is now a reality!! – Solar Impulse 2

Finally a dream seen long ago, an energy system which can fuel the future and does not harm the nature, is a reality. Kudos to the Swiss duo Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg who became the first pilots to fly across America in a featherweight plane fueled only by the sun !!. The pair believes that fossil fuels are not to be used for transportation.

The Solar Impulse 2 flies its first segment of an attempt to circumnavigate the world on an 11-segment route starting from Abu-Dhabi. The flight is just similar to how the history of flights started from Wright brothers.

Though it can carry only two passengers right now and the speed is not convincing, it gives us the hope that there is an energy which can be harnessed for almost everything we use !!

The future is here – Microsoft HoloLens !!

UntitledFrom Sixth sense technology (bringing digital world to physical world), a concept now in existence. Truly mind blowing. A world where technology could become more personal—where it could adapt to the natural ways we communicate, learn, and create. Where our digital lives would seamlessly connect with real life.

The result is the world’s most advanced holographic computing platform, enabled by Windows 10. For the first time ever, Microsoft HoloLens brings high-definition holograms to life in your world, where they integrate with your physical places, spaces, and things.

Microsoft’s new holographic headset can be used to play Minecraft, make video calls, do you work, and more. Microsoft HoloLens is definitely the future of digital entertainment and work life. Just waiting for the day when this is available everywhere:
